Overview

A food tour in Harlem is an excellent way to explore the area’s culinary scene and immerse yourself in its diverse cultural heritage.

During the food tour, you can sample a variety of Harlem’s signature dishes, from soul food classics like fried chicken and collard greens to more modern and inventive fare. This culinary adventure includes 4 stops to sample sweet and savory treats from African American, Caribbean, and African-local eateries.

You will meet the tour guide at our midtown location and will travel to Harlem by subway. This is where the walking tour and culinary treats start! Our guide will tell you more about the neighborhood’s role in the Civil Rights Movement, its impact on the Harlem Renaissance, and its ongoing cultural significance today. Along the way, you will also see Harlem’s iconic historic sites, cultural institutions, and shops.

Highlights

  • Sample 4 delicious treats from Harlem’s cuisine.
  • Learn more about popular Harlem landmarks – the Apollo Theater, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, etc.
